Eli's Cool, Cool, Cool Tricks

Eli is 14 months old and is growing a ton. It has been so much fun watching him learn new things. One thing he has learned to do is cluck like a chicken. It is hilarious to hear. Anytime he sees a chicken or duck for that matter, he will cluck away happily. All feathered friends are chickens to him, but that's okay. The fact that he has recognized birds is pretty cool, and soon enough he will be big enough to know the different types. For now, we are enjoying hearing him cluck frequently. This is a video of him clucking.

When Caleb was one, we introduced him to Eric Carle's book From Head to Toe. It is a family favorite now. He loved imitating the animals' movements and did them frequently. We recently introduced this book to Eli who loves it as well. Eli loves all books actually and spends a good deal of each day reading the books in his room. Eli is now turning his head like a penguin, thumping his chest like a gorilla, and clapping his hands like a seal. He loves the reaction he gets when he does these things and so has been doing them constantly. This is a video of him doing these movements.

I am sure that Eli's cool, cool, cool tricks will increase as he grows older, but for now, we are content with these little talents that make us smile and laugh.
