Miami Ink is one of our favorite shows. We could create our own show and call it Sanford Ink with all the tattooing going on around here lately. Allen had an idea for a new tattoo to go with his existing tattoo, so he got some work done on it two weeks ago. He still has another session or two to finish it. I plan to post pictures of it once it is done. He'll have to explain what it is and its significance because he would do a better job of that than me.
The boys decided that they needed tattoos like Daddy, so we gave them some. Caleb got Spider-Man on one arm and Pirates of the Caribbean on the other. We couldn't leave Eli out, so we gave him a Spider-Man tattoo which he picked out. It was his first tattoo, and he was really happy about it. Whenever we asked him about his tattoo, he would look for it on his arm, point to it, and talk excitedly about it in unintelligible babytalk.
After Allen's current tattoo is finished, he plans to get portraits of the boys. He says that will be it, but I am not so sure. I keep envisioning being married to an 80-year-old man who is covered in tatts from head to toe. We'll have to see what happens, but I do know that the boys will be getting many more tattoos in the near future.
